Still, I have been looking forward to participating in Robin's latest voice challenge so here it is. The challenge for V-Day was to make something romantic sound as unromantic as possible.
I can't get podbean to obey me, so you'll have to go elsehwere to listen to
"Groovy." Sorry.
Well, just so we're clear that I don't yell at my kids
I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteHA! That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteROTFL...that was fantastic! =)
ReplyDeleteAh, the products of romance added such a moving soundtrack, LOL.
ReplyDeleteBTW, podbean didn't appear for me, so I clicked on the link.
I don't believe I've heard your voice before. I really like it. Even the yelling bit. Groovy.
ReplyDeleteYou sound wonderful. It wasn't so much that you didn't sound romantic as the situation didn't. It took me right back to when my kids were little and romance had a hard time to get a look in.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but I couldn't make this link work, Aerin.
ReplyDeleteI heard a few words, and then silence, but I'll try again!
This is the BEST, I love this. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteFor people struggling with this one, try downloading it (save as) and then playing the saved file. It's SO worth it.
I literally laughed out loud, as Timothy was looking at me and hearing you with a very puzzled facial expression! Great!!
ReplyDeleteThis reminded me of a commercial for a dating service I once saw. The guy comes home and in his apartment are flowers and lit candles. "Thanks for a GREAT first date," says a sign on the coffee table. He moves from room to room and the signs slowly get more desperate. Finally, "DON'T EVER LEAVE ME!!!!"
ReplyDeleteYour diddy reminded me of that. But you've got a great speaking voice. I even liked the screaming.
I'm so sorry I missed this before - my brain's too gunked up with snot to do anything intelligent. This was great! LOVED IT! I can't hear the plague at all. You have a lovely voice - even when shouting.
ReplyDeleteAs for yelling? - what's a family without some yelling?
"KNOCK IT OFF!" - The mantra of the mother!
This is superb.
ReplyDeleteThe fruits of romance becoming missiles in the stocks of life.
OMG. That was so well done. It actually sounded romantic near the beginning but it got so very wonderfully off before too long.
ReplyDeletespectacular! wishing I would have saw this challenge 'cause I think my 4 screaming munchkins plus a barking dog in the background might have been a nice complement to your lovely piece here.
ReplyDeleteOne year and a month late- I really enjoyed this!
